Flipturn at Lincoln Hall - Halloween Show - Chicago, IL

Halloween weekend came to a close as Flipturn played a sold out show at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to see them perform at Lincoln Hall’s sister venue, Schubas. They captured my attention then- and let me tell you, they did not disappoint this time either. Dressed in full body chicken suits, the Florida based band met the energy of the costumed crowd. Under the discoball’s ambient lighting, they played Chicago, of course. Not only was I excited, the concert goers ate it up. Dillon Basse’s voice remains one of my favorite voices. His range and tone are impeccable. Every aspect of this band’s sound is exceptional. Flipturn is one of those bands that you just have to see play live. They are one of the few groups that actually sound better in person than on their recordings. I can’t wait to see them play the next time they come through Chicago.
