Show Review: Young The Giant at Red Rocks Ampitheater 8.30.23

Summer nights at Red Rocks are truly one of the most magical places to be in Colorado. While most concerts at the iconic venue are amazing experiences based on the acoustics and stunning natural architecture that the venue provides, it takes a special type of artist to create an otherworldly concert experience that stands out above the non-stop full concert schedule that fills the venue each summer. Young The Giant have proven that they are one of the few and special artists that can truly do this

Following enthralling performances from Talk and Milky Chance, the evenings energy was high as a spoken word intro broadcasted through the venue's speakers. A subtle scent of incense wafted through the air, mingling with the anticipation of the assembled fans eagerly awaiting for Young The Giant to perform.

Young the Giant took the stage and the band kicked off their performance with an electrifying opener of ‘American Bollywood’ From the first note, it was clear that this was no ordinary night at Red Rocks. The full moon began to peek from behind the stage and its glow added an unexpected magic energy to the already stunning stage design. Young the Giant's setlist unfolded, each song weaving perfectly into the next. Intermissions in the form of ‘Video’ segments served as breathers in the night's musical journey.

The crowd was fully entranced by the band's spellbinding melodies and electric yet smooth stage presence. When they weren't dancing or singing along to the lyrics with unbridled enthusiasm, the atmosphere at the venue was that of a relaxed summer night among friends. A gentle breeze blew through the venue, carrying the scent of shared joints, and the sound of laughter and joy filled the quiet between songs as the crowd enjoyed this special night under the blue moon with the beauty of Young The Giant with friends and family.

Young The Giant have rightfully established themselves as a can-not-miss Red Rocks performer and it is without a doubt that they are a band that should be seen live at any venue they grace the stage at.

Young The Giant are currently touring Europe and perform back in the states on November 11th for Sounds Like Hope: A Benefit Concert for Hope Network Foundation in Grand Rapids, MI.
