NEW PALE WAVES: LIES

Pale Waves has done it again. My favorite Manchester band has just released the first single off of their upcoming album, Unwanted. Lyrically, Lies left me rethinking every relationship I’ve ever been in, but musically I couldn’t get over the pacing. It’s a perfect song to start kicking off the summer if you’re in an angsty mood.

Heading over to the music video they dropped for this single was absolutely the right move. Heather looks…just spectacular as always. Her blonde, choppy bob and signature dark fit is a great visual representation of the new slightly grittier sound we’re hearing from them in Lies. The shots are a bit disorienting, but that stomach churning feeling is very much paralleled in the lyrics. In my book, they can do no wrong. Now I’m just here, listening on repeat and patiently waiting for the full album release August 12.
