Show Review: Yoke Lore at Denver’s Gothic theater

Yoke Lore's arrival at Denver's Gothic Theater for the 'Holy Havoc' tour was nothing short of spectacular. With a sold-out crowd eagerly awaiting his performance, the energy and enthusiasm in the venue were electric.

The buzz for Yoke Lore in Denver has exploded following his performance at Red Rocks this past April with Goth Babe. In the months since Yoke Lore’s performance at Red Rocks, he has released a series of highly acclaimed singles, giving fans a taste of what they can expect from his eagerly awaited debut album ‘A Never Ending New Beginning’. This ever growing buzz lead to the show at the Gothic selling out many weeks in advance.

Despite being midway through the 'Holy Havoc' tour, Yoke Lore ( Adrian Galvin) along with his band, showed no signs of fatigue. Their performance was captivating and fueled by an undeniable passion that enthralled the crowd from start of their set to the very last notes of the encore. There wasn't a single moment of waning energy throughout the show. While Galvin was soft spoken when addressing the crowd between songs, His bright and projecting singing voice filled every inch of the venue. His voice wasn’t the only one filling the venue, from the first banjo notes of ‘Beige’ the crowd erupted, it felt as everyone in the room was singing the first verse as Galvin looked on in the crowd with a joyous look on his face. This connection between artist and crowd radiated throughout the night and grew deeper when at multiple times in the night Galvin performed spoken word pieces, sharing insight to the ethos of Yoke Lore.

Yoke Lore's unique sound has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams on his past singles and EPs. While streaming numbers don't always equate to a dedicated fan base and sold-out venues, Yoke Lore's music has clearly struck a deep chord with listeners. His ability to create music that resonates deeply with listeners has fostered a loyal following, and this was evident in the packed and enthusiastic crowd at the sold out show at the Gothic Theater.

The ‘Holy Havoc’ tour continues on this September. The remaining dates are below and be sure to check out ‘A Never Ending New Begining’ out 9/22 via Yell House Records.
